Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care to CCU patients during 12-hour night shifts
• Monitor and respond to cardiac and hemodynamic changes with precision and urgency
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement patient-centered plans of care
• Complete required competency exams and specialty checklists to maintain clinical excellence
• Ensure accurate documentation and handoffs to support continuity of care
• Adhere to infection control, immunization, and health screening requirements

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (Nursys verification required) — state licensure must be current
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior critical care or CCU nursing experience preferred (per-diem CCU experience a plus)
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts and accept per-diem scheduling (no guaranteed hours)
• Ability to complete Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
• Completion of required health screenings: fit test, drug screen, MMR, Hep B, TB testing, influenza vaccine, varicella, Tdap

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and CCU care
• Cardiac monitoring and recognition of acute cardiac events
• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS)
• Clinical competency testing readiness and attention to protocols
• Comfort working independently overnight and triaging urgent issues
