Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the catheterization lab
• Assist cardiology physicians and the procedural team during diagnostic and interventional cases
• Monitor hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to clinical changes
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure all equipment is ready for procedures
• Administer medications and manage IVs per protocol with careful documentation
• Educate patients and families on procedures, expectations, and post-procedure care
• Complete required competency checklists and specialty exams to maintain high standards
• Participate in on-call coverage when scheduled and coordinate with the care team

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license with Nursys verification (Nevada RN preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Cath lab experience or relevant specialty training preferred
• Successful completion of competency evaluations (Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, Prime Specialty Exam)
• Compliance with required health screenings and immunizations (TB, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, Varicella)

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Cath lab workflows, sterile technique, and procedural support
• Hemodynamic assessment and IV medication administration
• Strong clinical judgment, situational awareness, and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with licensure/credentialing processes
