Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound exams, including upper and lower extremity DVT studies and carotid ultrasound
• Operate ultrasound equipment and optimize imaging for accurate diagnostic interpretation
• Accurately document exam findings and maintain patient records in accordance with facility policies
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and clearly explain procedures to patients
• Collaborate with physicians, radiology teams, and imaging center staff to support diagnostic workflows
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage and respond professionally when called in

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required (RDMS credential specified in role)
• Demonstrated experience with vascular ultrasound and proficiency in DVT and carotid studies
• Comfortable working in both hospital and imaging center settings
• Ability to work day shifts with rotating call across varying days of the week
• Strong communication skills and ability to document findings clearly

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent
• ARDMS certification (RDMS) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Vascular ultrasound techniques and duplex scanning
• Upper and lower extremity DVT protocol and carotid imaging
• Proficiency with sonography equipment and image optimization
• Patient positioning, safety, and compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to adapt across multiple sites and varying workflows
