Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ED setting
• Perform rapid triage, assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of critically ill or injured patients
• Administer and manage BLS, ACLS and PALS interventions as clinically indicated
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing colleagues, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Maintain required competencies and complete specialty exams and skills checklists to ensure top-quality care
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Nursys) in good standing
• Minimum 2 years experience working in the Emergency Department
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP and DCI/BVP certifications listed as additional certifications on file
• Completion of required pre-employment health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB test, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Varicella, influenza per policy
• Successful completion of drug screen, fit test, and required competency exams/checklists

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing assessment and triage skills
• Proficient in rapid stabilization and critical thinking under pressure
• Skilled in pediatric and adult life support protocols (PALS, ACLS, BLS)
• Effective communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary clinical environment
• Accurate clinical documentation and adherence to protocols and checklists
