Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide continuous airway management and advanced respiratory support for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilators including PB 980, PB 840 and V60
• Perform ventilator assessments, adjustments, and weaning in collaboration with physicians
• Deliver high-quality patient care including CPR and emergency respiratory interventions
• Operate transport ventilators (ParaPac) and support safe patient transfers
• Document care accurately using computerized charting systems and utilize Pyxis for medication management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and consult with physicians to optimize respiratory outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and post-care plans

Qualifications

• Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license required by start of assignment (application accepted if already submitted)
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Experience caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
• PALS and NRP preferred
• CPR certification required
• No first travel assignments accepted (prior travel assignment experience expected)
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start

• Familiarity with PB 980, PB 840, V60 ventilators and ParaPac transport ventilator

• Ability to consult effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Comfort caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
