Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one labor support and high-quality maternal-newborn care for mom/baby couplets
• Monitor fetal status using OB TraceVue and respond promptly to changes
• Titrate IV drips and medications safely, including oxytocin and magnesium protocols
• Troubleshoot neonatal respiratory equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow devices
• Collaborate with obstetric and surgical teams and circulate for C-sections as needed
• Document care accurately in MEDITECH and communicate clearly with providers and families
• Maintain patient safety and adherence to AWHONN guidelines for appropriate staffing ratios

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (able to submit license)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery or maternal-newborn nursing experience
• Comfort and competency with drip titration and neonatal troubleshooting
• Ability to pass respiratory fit testing (no facial hair or willing to remove facial hair to pass)
• Strong teamwork, communication, and independence in a rural hospital setting

Education

• Active RN license; BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor & Delivery nursing and postpartum care best practices
• Fetal monitoring and interpretation (OB TraceVue experience preferred)
• Medication administration and IV drip titration
• Neonatal support including CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow nasal cannula troubleshooting
• Charting in MEDITECH
• Familiarity with AWHONN guidelines and safe staffing ratios
• Fit testing procedures and PPE awareness
