Shift Type: Friday - Sunday; rotating schedule with on-call rotation. Specific start/end times vary by assignment (day and night coverage may be required).
Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform radiologic examinations for adult, pediatric and neonatal patients with confidence and compassion
- Prepare rooms and equipment, set up sterile trays, and ensure supplies are ready for each exam
- Position patients and use appropriate techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Operate portable x-ray units, C-arm and fluoroscopy equipment in OR, ED and inpatient settings
- Obtain IV contrast consent, assist with contrast administration and monitor patients for reactions
- Use RIS and PACS to enter patient data, send images to radiologists and maintain accurate records
- Provide excellent patient care including vital sign monitoring, transport assistance and pre/post procedure education
- Respond to emergencies, activate Code Blue when needed, and perform CPR until help arrives
- Troubleshoot basic equipment and film processor issues and communicate clearly with maintenance
- Mentor and teach student technologists, ensuring best practices in radiation safety and patient care
Qualifications
- Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR attending second year of an accredited radiology program
- CPR certification required and must maintain current certification
- Preferred: 2 years experience working in a radiology department
- High School diploma or GED required
- Comfortable with patient handling, lifting/assisting up to departmental requirements and safe transfer techniques
- Able to work in stressful situations, follow HIPAA and hospital policies, and participate in on-call rotation
Education
- High School diploma or GED
- ARRT registry preferred OR enrollment in the second year of an accredited Radiology program
- Maintain current CPR certification and complete required continuing education
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient positioning and age-specific care (adult, pediatric, neonatal)
- Operation of diagnostic and fluoroscopic radiology equipment (portable x-ray, C-arm)
- Radiation safety and protection practices
- Proficiency with RIS and PACS for image acquisition, processing and transmission
- Contrast administration and IV consent processes
- Image processing and computer radiography workflows
- Vital signs monitoring and basic patient assessment
- Clerical duties: scheduling, filing, and accurate record keeping
- Teaching/mentoring student technologists and supporting departmental training
