Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside care to patients on assigned shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely per orders
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status, escalating changes promptly
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and physicians to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families about care, treatments and discharge instructions
• Support a positive, team-focused environment and help mentor newer staff

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (eligible to practice in New Mexico preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain promptly
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team
• Local candidates encouraged (note: LOCAL ONLY assignment)

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Medication administration and documentation
• Wound care fundamentals and infection control practices
• Proficient charting and electronic health record use
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Collaborative clinical problem-solving and patient advocacy
