Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics
• Maintain patient dignity and privacy while assisting with hygiene and comfort
• Communicate clearly with the care team and patients' families to ensure continuity of care
• Assist with documentation and basic charting to keep patient records accurate

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-specific credentials required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required by facility
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or medical-surgical settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and standard precautions
• Skill in taking and documenting vital signs and basic clinical observations
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living and patient mobility
• Comfortable working overnight and responding calmly in urgent situations
• Good communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with nurses and support staff
