Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Night (overnight)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
Take and record vital signs and observe changes in condition
Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics
Document care accurately and communicate observations to nursing staff
Follow infection control, safety protocols, and care plans
Build rapport with patients and families to support emotional needs

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (or equivalent) — New Mexico certification preferred
Active BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Previous CNA experience preferred; new grads with certification welcome

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing principles and patient care routines
Skill in taking vital signs and monitoring patient status
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Basic charting and documentation skills
Understanding of infection control and HIPAA privacy practices
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
