Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as scheduled), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC (overnight)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident observations
Collaborate with the care team to support individualized care plans
Support a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents and their families

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
Comfortable working overnight hours and providing hands-on resident care
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing principles and infection control
Skill in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Ability to recognize and report changes in resident condition
Familiarity with electronic or paper charting of care activities
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
