Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document vital signs, changes in condition, and care provided in a timely manner
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics and assistance
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, reporting observations and concerns promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Assist with meal service, feeding, and hygiene needs while preserving dignity and independence
• Follow infection control practices and facility policies to protect patients and coworkers

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — state certification preferred
• Recent experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in providing personal care and assisting with ADLs
• Knowledge of basic vital sign measurement and charting
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to follow care plans and perform delegated tasks reliably
• Good teamwork, time management, and observational skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident dignity
