Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (day). Alternate schedule available: Four 10-hour days, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (day).
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychological assessments and prioritize patient safety
- Deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy tailored to the correctional setting
- Develop and implement clear, measurable treatment plans that support recovery
- Collaborate with medical, custody, and mental health colleagues to coordinate care
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization when acute needs arise
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in the facility’s records
- Support rehabilitation goals and facilitate referrals to community resources when appropriate
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute clinical expertise
Qualifications
- Active California licensure as a Psychologist (PSY), or eligible/licensed LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW
- Experience or demonstrated ability to work with adults in mental health settings; correctional experience is a plus
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet clearance requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor in a secure setting
- Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology preferred for Psychologist credential
- Master’s degree required for LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW licensure candidates
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in clinical assessment, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Proficient with evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed approaches)
- Crisis management and de-escalation techniques
- Comfortable leading group therapy and psychoeducational sessions
- Competent documentation practices and familiarity with electronic health records
- Collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams and custody staff
- Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations
