Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy to adults in a correctional mental health setting
• Conduct psychological assessments, risk evaluations, and behaviorally informed treatment planning
• Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans to support rehabilitation and mental wellness
• Document clinical care clearly and timely in the health record system
• Collaborate with custody staff and an interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care
• Participate in the required one-week, Monday-Friday training and ongoing professional development
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility security and ethical standards

Qualifications

• Active license as a Psychologist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) — required
• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) clinicians are encouraged to apply
• Comfort working in a correctional or institutional environment is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and psychotherapy skills with adult populations
• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration abilities

Education

• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology preferred for Psychologist roles
• Master’s degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related field for LMFT/LPCC clinicians

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in individual and group therapy techniques and treatment planning
• Crisis intervention and risk assessment proficiency
• Familiarity with behavioral health documentation and electronic health records
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed care approach
