Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (Day/Evening). Alternate schedule option: 4x10s, 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM (four days/week). Training: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM for 2 weeks.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based psychological assessment and individual therapy to adults in a correctional mental health setting
- Develop and document treatment plans and progress notes that clearly track clinical outcomes
- Deliver crisis intervention and collaborate with custody and clinical teams to ensure safety
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and contribute clinical expertise
- Support continuity of care by coordinating referrals and discharge planning when appropriate
- Engage in training and professional development activities during the onboarding period
Qualifications
- Active California Psychologist license preferred; candidates eligible for licensure will be considered
- Experience working in mental health settings; correctional or forensic experience is a strong plus
- Demonstrated competency in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapies
- Excellent documentation skills and ability to manage caseloads in a structured environment
- Ability to pass facility background checks and adhere to security protocols
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred; Master’s-level clinicians with appropriate licensure/credentials may be considered
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Proficiency in individual and group therapy modalities
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and risk assessment
- Familiarity with correctional mental health workflows and safety practices
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and collaborative teamwork
