Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-informed mental health and substance abuse assessments for patients
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that make measurable impact
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions using appropriate modalities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve outcomes
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in compliance with facility standards
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active California Psychologist license (PSYL) required; LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC candidates considered
• Experience working in mental health and substance abuse treatment settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning skills
• Comfortable facilitating groups and providing individual therapy
• Willingness to complete required background checks and facility onboarding
• Professional communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred for Psychologist role
• Master's degree in related field required for LCSW/LMFT/LPCC candidates with appropriate licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical knowledge of mental health diagnoses and evidence-based therapies (CBT, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care)
• Substance abuse treatment approaches and relapse prevention strategies
• Crisis intervention and risk assessment skills
• Strong documentation and electronic health record proficiency
• Collaborative team-based care and care coordination
• Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse patient populations
