Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide thorough mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy as clinically appropriate
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to coordinate patient care
- Document clinical encounters, progress notes, and treatment updates accurately and timely
- Perform crisis intervention and risk assessment when urgent situations arise
- Participate in case consultations, staff meetings, and professional development activities
Qualifications
- Licensed Psychologist (PSYL) — primary title for this role
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), LCSW, or LPCC will be accepted as equivalent
- Valid professional license in the relevant discipline and ability to work in California
- Comfort working in correctional or institutional mental health settings
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to ethical, trauma-informed care
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid background in mental health assessment and diagnosis
- Training in marriage and family therapy principles and psychology
- Experience with evidence-based therapies and behavioral interventions
- Good clinical documentation and case management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with medical, security, and administrative staff
