Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for incarcerated individuals
- Deliver individual, group, and crisis counseling aligned with facility policies and best practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and monitor treatment plans that support rehabilitation and safety
- Document clinical services clearly and timely, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with state regulations
- Participate in training and quality improvement efforts to enhance clinical services within the facility
- Provide clinical consultation and support to custody and program staff as needed
Qualifications
- Active licensure as a Psychologist (PSYL), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) — valid in California
- Experience or interest in working in correctional or forensic mental health settings
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility clearance requirements
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and documentation skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD/PsyD) for Psychologist licensure, or relevant Master’s degree for LPCC/LMFT licensure as required by California
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches
- Comfortable conducting assessments, crisis intervention, and group therapy
- Familiarity with correctional environment safety and security protocols
- Excellent clinical documentation and time-management skills
- Ability to engage diverse adult populations with empathy and firmness when needed
