Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and deliver evidence-based treatment to adult patients in a correctional mental health setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and update clinical documentation in the patient record
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, crisis intervention, and risk assessments as needed
• Collaborate with custody staff and a multidisciplinary clinical team to coordinate care and ensure safety
• Participate in orientation and training sessions; mentor and support junior clinicians when appropriate
• Contribute to program quality improvement, clinical policy development, and case consultation

Qualifications

• Active California license in one of the following: Psychologist (PSY), LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC
• Clinical experience working with adult populations; correctional or forensic experience is a strong plus
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility security clearance requirements
• Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary collaboration

Education

• Doctoral degree (PhD/PsyD) for Psychologist or Master's degree for LMFT/LCSW/LPCC as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in psychological assessment and diagnosis
• Skilled in individual and group psychotherapy and crisis intervention
• Knowledge of evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care)
• Familiarity with risk assessment, safety planning, and suicidality interventions
• Competence in clinical documentation, confidentiality, and ethical practice
• Cultural humility and ability to work with diverse patient populations
