Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations for incarcerated adults
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and evidence-based interventions
• Provide individual and group therapy focused on behavioral health, coping skills, and rehabilitation
• Perform crisis intervention and coordinate care with custody and medical teams when needed
• Document clinical encounters clearly and timely to meet regulatory and facility standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to support continuity of care and safety within the facility
• Participate in case consultations and contribute to program development aimed at improving outcomes

Qualifications

• Active licensure as a Psychologist (PSYL), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Experience or interest in correctional mental health or working with forensic populations preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, therapy, and documentation skills
• Ability to pass facility required background checks and comply with correctional policies
• Comfort working collaboratively with custody and medical staff in a secure environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Evidence-based psychotherapy approaches and assessment techniques
• Clinical documentation, treatment planning, and progress note best practices
• Crisis intervention and risk assessment
• Understanding of correctional health system operations and safety protocols
• Strong communication, teamwork, and cultural competence
