Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and substance-use evaluations to inform individualized care
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s recovery goals
- Provide individual and group therapy focused on substance abuse and co-occurring mental health conditions
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, nursing staff, and correctional facility teams to coordinate care
- Document clinical notes, treatment progress, and discharge planning in a timely and compliant manner
- Deliver crisis intervention and risk assessments when needed to ensure patient and staff safety
- Participate in staff training and case consultation to support a culture of continuous improvement
- Advocate for patient needs while maintaining professional and ethical standards
Qualifications
- Active Psychologist license (PSYL) — current state licensure required; LCSW candidates with equivalent experience considered
- Experience in substance abuse treatment and mental health care, ideally within a forensic or correctional setting
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with evidence-based therapy experience (CBT, DBT, MI, etc.)
- Excellent documentation, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Ability to work the posted schedule (Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) and attend the 2-week training schedule if assigned
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD/PsyD) preferred for Psychologist role; MSW for LCSW pathways accepted
- Relevant post-graduate clinical training and supervised hours as required for licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of substance abuse treatment principles and relapse prevention strategies
- Skilled in individual and group psychotherapy techniques and treatment planning
- Familiarity with risk assessment, crisis management, and safety protocols
- Competence in clinical documentation, confidentiality (HIPAA), and regulatory compliance
- Culturally competent practice and the ability to engage diverse patient populations
- Good organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
