Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality psychological services to incarcerated adults, including assessment, diagnosis, and individual therapy
- Deliver evidence-based interventions that support mental health and safety within the facility
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and treatment planning
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and clinical notes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Participate in training sessions and professional development during the training schedule
- Contribute to a respectful, therapeutic environment that prioritizes patient dignity and rehabilitation
Qualifications
- Active California Psychologist license (PSY) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- LPCC credential considered and welcomed
- Experience or interest in correctional, forensic, or institutional mental health settings preferred
- Ability to work the required schedules: Mon-Thu 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM and training Mon-Fri 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM as needed
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Education
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology preferred for Psychologist role
- Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or related field acceptable for LMFT/LPCC roles
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with psychological assessment and diagnostic formulation
- Skilled in evidence-based therapies and crisis intervention
- Excellent documentation and case management practices
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and with facility staff
- Cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed care approach
