Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift). Will accept 4/10s: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Day shift). Orientation: 3 weeks onsite.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based psychological services to incarcerated adults including assessment, individual and group therapy
- Conduct clinical evaluations, risk assessments, and treatment planning to support patient safety and rehabilitation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity across services
- Document clinical encounters clearly and timely in the electronic health record
- Deliver trauma-informed interventions and crisis management as needed to maintain a safe therapeutic environment
- Support program development and quality improvement efforts within the mental health unit
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted California Psychologist license preferred; LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC credentials considered
- Experience in mental health settings; correctional or forensic experience is highly desirable
- Strong clinical assessment and therapy skills with adults
- Ability to complete a 3-week onsite orientation and work Monday-Friday schedule (or agreed 4/10 arrangement)
- Willingness to pass facility-required background checks and comply with institutional policies
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology for Psychologist roles (PhD or PsyD) or relevant Master's degree for LMFT/LCSW/LPCC
- Relevant clinical training and licensure in California
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in clinical assessment, risk management, and safety planning
- Proficient in individual and group therapy modalities and treatment planning
- Solid documentation skills and comfort using electronic health records
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques appropriate for correctional settings
- Cultural competence and strong interpersonal communication skills
