Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group psychotherapy to adults in a correctional mental health setting
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Deliver crisis intervention and stabilization when needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and continuity
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and reporting
• Participate in a one-week orientation and required facility training
• Support continuity of care by covering registry/vacancy needs professionally and reliably

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license as a Psychologist (PSYL) — candidates with LMFT or LCSW credentials also encouraged (PSYL/LCSW/LMFT listed for this role)
• Clinical experience in mental health and psychotherapy
• Ability to work Monday–Friday day shifts and attend the one-week orientation
• Comfort and professionalism working within a correctional facility environment and completing required facility onboarding

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of mental health conditions and psychotherapy techniques
• Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning skills
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Experience with clinical documentation and case management
• Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Cultural competency and trauma-informed care approaches
