Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for adults in a correctional mental health setting
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy using evidence-based approaches to reduce symptoms and build coping skills
- Develop clear, individualized treatment plans and update progress notes in a timely, professional manner
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatry, nursing, custody staff, and case management to coordinate care
- Perform risk assessments, crisis intervention, and safety planning when needed
- Lead psychoeducational groups that address substance use, anger management, and emotional regulation
- Document care clearly and concisely to support continuity of treatment and facility requirements
- Support reentry planning and link clients to community resources when appropriate
Qualifications
- Active and valid California Psychologist license OR active LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC license (candidates with these licenses are encouraged to apply)
- Experience providing mental health services to adults; experience in correctional or forensic settings is highly desirable
- Comfortable performing assessments, crisis intervention, and group therapy
- Strong clinical documentation skills and ability to work within electronic health records
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to pass facility-required background clearance and comply with institutional protocols
Education
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related clinical field for LCSW/LMFT/LPCC roles
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) for licensed Psychologist positions
- Relevant clinical licensure in California required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of diagnostic assessment and evidence-based psychotherapies (CBT, DBT-informed techniques, motivational interviewing)
- Skills in risk assessment, crisis management, and safety planning
- Familiarity with treatment planning, progress documentation, and outcome measurement
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and navigate correctional environment protocols
- Cultural competence and trauma-informed care practices
- Strong organizational skills and professional boundaries
