Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and mental health evaluations
- Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client
- Collaborate with custody and multidisciplinary teams to support continuity of care
- Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and case notes
- Participate in orientation and training activities to ensure safe, effective care
- Support a safe therapeutic environment and crisis intervention when needed
Qualifications
- Licensed Psychologist (Doctoral-level license) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California
- LMFT or LPCC credentials are welcomed as qualified providers for this setting
- Experience in mental health assessment and treatment (correctional experience a plus)
- Must be able to complete required background clearance and facility orientation
- Strong clinical judgment, professional communication, and teamwork skills
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) for Psychologist roles, or Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) for LCSW roles
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Trauma-informed and evidence-based therapeutic approaches
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Excellent documentation and treatment planning
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary/correctional environment
- Cultural sensitivity and strong interpersonal skills
