Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and mental health evaluations
• Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client
• Collaborate with custody and multidisciplinary teams to support continuity of care
• Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and case notes
• Participate in orientation and training activities to ensure safe, effective care
• Support a safe therapeutic environment and crisis intervention when needed

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist (Doctoral-level license) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California
• LMFT or LPCC credentials are welcomed as qualified providers for this setting
• Experience in mental health assessment and treatment (correctional experience a plus)
• Must be able to complete required background clearance and facility orientation
• Strong clinical judgment, professional communication, and teamwork skills

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) for Psychologist roles, or Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) for LCSW roles

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Trauma-informed and evidence-based therapeutic approaches
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Excellent documentation and treatment planning
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary/correctional environment
• Cultural sensitivity and strong interpersonal skills
