Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for adults in a forensic/psychiatric program
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and crisis intervention when needed
• Collaborate with custody staff and multidisciplinary clinical teams to coordinate care
• Document clinical findings, progress notes and treatment plans in a timely, accurate manner
• Participate in training, supervision and quality improvement activities to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred
• Licensed Psychologist in California or eligible for California licensure
• Experience in mental health, psychiatric or forensic/correctional settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and psychotherapy skills
• Ability to pass required background and facility clearance processes

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) or equivalent clinical doctorate

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in psychological assessment and evidence-based therapeutic modalities
• Knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, risk assessment and crisis management
• Excellent clinical documentation and charting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Cultural competency and ability to work with diverse adult populations
