Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based psychological assessment and therapeutic services to incarcerated adults
- Develop individualized treatment plans and document progress clearly and professionally
- Collaborate with correctional health staff, custody, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Deliver group and individual interventions focused on mental health stabilization and rehabilitation
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and comply with facility policies
- Support continuity of care during transitions and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Psychologist license (PSYL) OR Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Previous clinical experience in mental health settings; experience in correctional or forensic settings is a strong plus
- Comfort providing services in a secure/correctional environment and working with diverse adult populations
- Excellent clinical documentation skills and proficiency with standard assessment tools
- Current basic life support (BLS) as required by facility policies (if applicable)
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology preferred for Psychologist roles; Master’s degree in Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy acceptable for LPCC/LMFT roles
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based psychotherapy
- Familiarity with mental health treatment planning and progress measurement
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and prioritize clinical needs
- Effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Cultural competence and trauma-informed care approach
