Shift Type: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Day shift). Alternate schedule options include Tuesday-Friday with one of the following day schedules: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM, or 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM; primary assignment indicated as day shift.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and psychological evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practice
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions focused on psychiatric stabilization and recovery
- Perform risk assessments and crisis intervention to ensure patient and staff safety
- Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and progress notes with clarity and professionalism
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and correctional staff to coordinate care
- Contribute to program development, quality improvement initiatives, and case reviews
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred; candidates with equivalent advanced clinical experience considered
- Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Psychologist in California or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience in forensic, correctional, or psychiatric program settings is highly desirable
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and psychotherapy skills
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility clearance requirements
- Excellent written documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred; relevant advanced clinical degrees considered
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in mental health assessment tools and psychological testing
- Expertise in evidence-based therapies such as CBT and trauma-informed approaches
- Skilled at crisis intervention and risk management in psychiatric settings
- Strong clinical documentation and SOAP note skills
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and navigate correctional healthcare dynamics
- Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse patient populations
