Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day) — No weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $30 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions such as gait training, range-of-motion and transfer training
- Monitor and document patient progress clearly and timely in the care record
- Collaborate with nurses, rehab team members and families to support patient goals
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and safe mobility techniques
- Maintain and sanitize therapy equipment and ensure a safe treatment environment
- Follow facility policies, safety protocols and HIPAA guidelines consistently
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or eligible for state licensure in Maryland
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program (associate degree typically required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain promptly)
- Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings is preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach
- Comfortable with documentation in electronic health records
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program (Associate degree)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and common rehab techniques
- Proficient with transfers, gait training and use of mobility devices
- Ability to perform safe patient handling and fall-prevention strategies
- Skilled in clinical documentation and outcome tracking
- Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families and staff
