Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents and patients during 12-hour day shifts
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and in line with facility protocols
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document clinical status, interventions and outcomes clearly and timely in the EMR
• Educate patients and families about treatments, medications and discharge planning
• Maintain a safe, patient-centered environment and adhere to regulatory and facility standards

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN or LPN license valid in New Mexico (must be current before start)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required; ACLS/PALS if applicable to unit
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and committed to providing compassionate care
• Travel nursing experience and prior facility adaptability are a plus

Education

• RN candidates: Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program
• LPN candidates: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Experience with wound care, IV therapy (as appropriate for licensure), and ADL support
• Accurate electronic charting and documentation in EMR systems
• Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Time management and prioritization during busy shift periods
• Patient- and family-centered teaching and advocacy
