Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising physical therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility
- Monitor and document patient progress in the electronic medical record with clarity
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and long-term rehabilitation strategies
- Maintain treatment areas and equipment to ensure a safe, organized environment
- Report changes in patient status promptly and participate in care planning meetings
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in New Jersey or eligible to obtain NJ licensure
- Completion of an accredited PTA program with an Associate degree
- Current BLS/CPR certification from a recognized provider
- Prior experience in rehabilitation, outpatient, or inpatient settings preferred
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility health screening requirements
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Education
- Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and progressive exercise techniques
- Skilled in gait training, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADL) retraining
- Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records
- Understanding of safety, infection control, and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to adapt treatment plans based on patient response and goals
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family education
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate with PTs, nurses, and clinicians
