Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and create individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and independence
• Document patient progress and update treatment goals in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
• Monitor outcomes and adjust interventions to maximize patient recovery

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Maryland or eligible for Maryland licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Experience in outpatient or post-acute rehabilitation preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient- and family-centered care
• Ability to manage documentation and use common EMR systems

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)
• State licensure required prior to providing independent care

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and gait training
• Familiarity with outcome measures and functional assessment tools
• Comfortable developing and modifying individualized treatment plans
• Proficient with clinical documentation and basic computer skills
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers in clear, compassionate terms
