Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to assigned patients with compassion and professionalism
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to orders and policy
• Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to interventions
• Perform focused assessments and escalate changes in condition to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to coordinate patient care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and contribute to clear handoffs at shift change
• Support a healing environment by following infection control and safety practices

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in New Mexico (RN candidates with appropriate license may also be considered as indicated by job class)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Comfortable working night shifts and adaptable to per diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• LPN: Practical Nursing diploma or certificate required
• RN option (if applicable): Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing and active RN license

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of clinical nursing fundamentals and medication administration
• Skilled in patient assessment, wound care basics, and vital sign monitoring
• Able to document clearly and accurately in the medical record
• Good time management, prioritization, and ability to respond calmly in urgent situations
• Patient-centered communication and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
