Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate speech, language, cognition, and swallowing needs using evidence-based methods
- Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals that drive meaningful progress
- Deliver engaging, patient-centered therapy sessions and adapt approaches to each patient
- Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, educators, and families to ensure coordinated care
- Document progress clearly and timely, contributing to individualized education plans or care plans
- Provide family and caregiver education to support carryover and successful outcomes
- Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute clinical expertise to care planning
Qualifications
- Active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain licensure in Pennsylvania
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent) and relevant clinical experience
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or equivalent clinical credential
- Comfortable working with diverse patient populations and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
- Current CPR/BLS certification as required by facility policies
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in standardized and functional speech and language assessments
- Proficient with treatment techniques for articulation, language, cognition, and swallowing
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with therapy progress measurement
- Excellent communication and family education abilities
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and contribute to team-based care
