Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift), 35 hours/week, No weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' functional abilities and needs with clear, person-centered assessments.
- Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans that target meaningful daily activities.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve independence with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and document outcomes thoroughly.
- Collaborate with nursing, rehab disciplines, and families to coordinate excellent, holistic care.
- Train patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies and safe use of assistive equipment.
- Contribute to a positive facility culture by participating in team meetings and quality initiatives.
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in Virginia or eligible for Virginia licensure.
- Experience in a SNF or long-term care setting preferred; familiarity with skilled nursing workflows is a plus.
- Strong documentation skills and comfort using electronic medical records.
- Compassionate communicator who can collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and families.
- Active professional liability insurance as required by facility policies (if applicable).
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or accredited occupational therapy program).
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in conducting functional assessments and developing measurable goals.
- Proficient with ADL re-training, transfer and mobility training, and adaptive equipment recommendations.
- Knowledgeable about rehabilitation techniques for older adults and medically complex patients.
- Strong clinical reasoning, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication for patient education and documentation.
