Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor, record, and report vital signs and patient changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and fall prevention
• Support personal care needs like bathing, feeding, and toileting with dignity
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Accurately document care and communicate effectively with nurses and care team
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through kindness, patience, and professionalism

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Reliable, patient-focused attitude with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and comfort measures
• Assistance with ADLs (bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting)
• Taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Safe patient transfer and mobility assistance
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Clear communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
• Basic documentation and charting skills
