Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the rehab setting
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Monitor patient condition, report changes, and collaborate with the care team to adjust plans
• Assist with activities of daily living and support patients in their recovery goals
• Maintain clear, timely electronic charting and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Mexico (required) or active RN license if applying as Registered Nurse
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain promptly
• Comfortable with medication administration and basic IV/clinical skills appropriate to scope of practice
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a respectful bedside manner
• Previous experience in rehab, acute care, or long-term care is preferred but motivated new grads are welcome
• Ability to pass standard background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program for LPN applicants
• For RN applicants: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program
• Completion of state-required licensure and clinical requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
• Skilled in medication administration and accurate documentation
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
• Basic wound care and mobility assistance knowledge
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Collaborative approach to interdisciplinary patient care
