Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on your shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with orders
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes promptly to the care team
- Document care clearly and accurately in the facility’s record system
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and providers to support patient goals
- Assist with activities of daily living and promote patient comfort and dignity
- Follow infection prevention and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Clinical confidence in medication administration and basic patient care
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with interdisciplinary teams
- Comfortable working per diem shifts and adapting to varied patient needs
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental nursing assessment and patient monitoring
- Safe medication administration and documentation practices
- Basic knowledge of infection control and safety standards
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during busy shifts
- Patient education and family communication skills
