Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient status with attention to detail
- Assist nursing staff with interventions and timely communication about changes in condition
- Support rehabilitation activities and encourage patient mobility and independence
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control practices
- Document care accurately and promptly in patient records to support continuity
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused with strong teamwork skills
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with the care team and families
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility)
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observations
- Basic knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
- Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills
- Experience or interest in rehabilitation care is a plus
