Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing and direct patient care during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to orders
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes promptly
• Document care clearly and timely in the patient record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient goals
• Support patient safety, infection control, and facility policies
• Educate patients and families with clear, empathetic instruction and guidance
• Help onboard and support travelers or per diem staff as needed

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LPN license for New Mexico (or active RN license if applying as RN)
• Minimum clinical experience in acute or long-term care preferred
• Current BLS certification required; additional certifications (e.g., IV therapy) a plus
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently during overnight shifts
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered attitude

Education

• Licensed Practical Nurse: LPN diploma or equivalent
• Registered Nurse option: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher for RN applicants

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Ability to perform focused and head-to-toe nursing assessments
• Comfortable managing admissions, discharges, and transfers during shift
• Familiarity with infection control standards and safety protocols
• Good time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Basic computer skills for electronic charting and communication
