Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients and monitor vital signs to ensure safe, high-quality care
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and with compassion
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient plans
- Document patient status and interventions promptly and thoroughly
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery and self-care
- Advocate for patients and help maintain a safe, respectful environment
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required
- Comfortable working in a busy clinical setting and adapting to per diem schedules
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first mindset
- Previous clinical experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
Education
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent
- Additional coursework or certifications relevant to clinical care are a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and clinical monitoring skills
- Medication administration and adherence to safety protocols
- Basic wound care and comfort with common nursing procedures
- Clear, timely documentation and charting habits
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Professional bedside manner and effective patient education techniques
