Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to promote independence
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and vital signs in facility records
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Support a positive, respectful atmosphere by collaborating with nurses and support staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — must meet Pennsylvania requirements
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any facility onboarding requirements
• Comfortable working night shifts and adaptable to a fast-paced long-term care setting
• Great communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered attitude

Education

• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, ADLs, and safe transfer techniques
• Knowledge of basic vital sign measurement and documentation
• Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
• Good charting and handoff communication practices
• Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and allied health professionals
