Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, hands-on nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse to support patient comfort and recovery
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care in the patient record
- Perform thorough patient assessments and promptly communicate changes to the care team
- Provide clear patient and family education to promote understanding and safe transitions
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate excellent care
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow facility policies and infection control practices
- Support continuity of care for a smooth travel assignment handoff and transition
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license - required
- Availability for an every-weekend commitment as stated in the assignment
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the facility
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass standard background, drug screen, and health credentialing requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Active LPN licensure in the appropriate state
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and patient monitoring skills
- Comfortable with wound care, vital sign monitoring, and basic procedures within LPN scope
- Skilled at timely, clear documentation in electronic health records
- Excellent communication and teamwork to coordinate care across disciplines
- Good time management and prioritization in a busy clinical environment
