Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the care team to help ensure timely interventions.
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, promoting independence while preventing falls.
• Follow care plans and document care accurately and promptly to support quality outcomes.
• Support meals, feeding, and basic nutritional needs while encouraging dignity and choice.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and therapists to deliver person-centered care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in the state of New Mexico (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Previous experience as a nursing assistant preferred; travel CNA experience is a plus.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and meet facility immunization requirements.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work the scheduled early morning day shifts including weekends.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented attitude.

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and activities of daily living.
• Skill in safe resident transfers and use of assistive devices.
• Familiarity with documentation practices and electronic charting is a plus.
• Ability to observe, recognize, and report changes in resident condition.
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and the care team.
