Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care during night shifts
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Monitor and document patient status, reporting changes promptly
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and safe patient transitions
- Uphold infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Support continuity of care by collaborating with day-shift colleagues
Qualifications
- Valid New Mexico LPN license (or RN license if cross-class applicable)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Clinical experience in acute care or rehab settings preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work overnight hours and adapt to per diem scheduling
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN) or Nursing program (RN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and basic clinical interventions
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate bedside manner and clear communication
