Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients during the overnight shift
• Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, and report changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and providers to implement individualized care plans
• Perform thorough shift handoffs to ensure continuity and safety of care
• Support patient and family education with clear, respectful communication
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations with calm, effective action

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license in New Mexico (or active compact/licensure as applicable)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Previous experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or a related setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; a patient-centered attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program or equivalent vocational nursing education

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration, wound care, and basic clinical procedures
• Comfortable with electronic health record charting and documentation
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Ability to perform accurate patient assessments and escalate changes in condition
• Good time management, delegation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
