Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients during the overnight shift
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient status accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care plans
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergent situations with calm, professional judgment
• Perform treatments and procedures per facility protocols and physician orders
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions and follow-up needs
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate handoffs at shift change

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN or RN license (must be valid in New Mexico)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS as applicable or preferred
• Current clinical experience in acute care, rehab, or related nursing setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on overnight shifts
• Professional references and verification of licensure and employment required

Education

• LPN: Nursing diploma or practical nursing program graduate
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and experience with medication administration
• Comfortable with charting and electronic health record systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and remain organized in a fast-paced setting
• Team-oriented mindset with strong patient advocacy skills
• Basic wound care, IV site observation, and post-op/rehab patient needs familiarity
