Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the rehab unit
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with therapists and the interdisciplinary team to develop care plans
- Document patient status, interventions, and progress in the medical record
- Perform wound care, IV care, and other skilled nursing procedures as appropriate
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and safe transitions
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license in New Mexico (or compact license where applicable)
- Valid BLS certification; ACLS or other certifications a plus
- Previous acute care or rehab nursing experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-first mindset
- Ability to work per diem shifts and adapt to a dynamic clinical setting
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN) or equivalent for RNs
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with medication administration and documentation
- Familiarity with rehab nursing practices and mobility/safety precautions
- Comfortable collaborating with PT/OT/Speech and other interdisciplinary partners
- Good time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
