Roles & Responsibilities

Screen and diagnose speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders with precision
Provide expert treatment and professional consultations to improve patient outcomes
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and surgeons
Ensure patients achieve functional improvements for safe discharge home or to other facilities

Qualifications

Current Hawaii State license as a Speech Language Pathologist
Current ASHA certification
Current CPR BLS/HCP certification
Completion of FEES course (within 6 months if not upon hire)
Preferred: 1+ year acute care experience, MBS ImP, adult swallowing/communication/cognitive expertise

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required for licensure and ASHA certification)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in diagnosing and treating speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders
Skilled in adult swallowing evaluation and treatment
Proficient in communication and cognitive evaluation and treatment
Familiarity with FEES and MBS ImP procedures
